Did You Know This Interesting Fact About Eagles?
There is an inspirational story that has circulated for years about the determination of an Eagle and it's willingness to go through transformation to extend their life and come back stronger.
The story goes..
Around age 30, when the Eagle is older, weak, and slows down in flight speed, the Eagle will hide itself in the rocks. While in hiding, the Eagle will pluck out its old feathers until it is completely bare. Next, it will knock its own beak off by banging it against a rock. The Eagle then waits until a new beak and set of feathers grow.
Once the feathers and beak have grown back, the Eagle comes out of hiding. It is stronger, re-energized, and ready to live another 30-40 years.
This story of the Eagle is about refusing to give up, embracing transformation, and waiting. The Eagle is so determined to live, it is willing to go through this painful process as well as a waiting period.
Our Christian walk will take us through times of spiritual transformation. How we choose to respond in these times will have an impact on our life.
These times are typically painful and come with a waiting period. It is important to choose not to give up during these times but just as in this story, embrace the transformation and wait.
There will be times you will want to give up, to stop.. DON'T. In these times, it will be easier to quit, even turn back.. DON'T.
During these times of spiritual transformation, you will make a choice. Choose to embrace the transformation, choose to wait.
When the transformation is complete, you will come back stronger. For those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like Eagles, they shall run and not grow weary, they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31.
